Military AI and the Cyber Arms Race
Military AI encompasses a wide range of applications, from improving operational efficiency and decision support to enabling advanced weapons systems. Drawing on U.S. experiences, this presentation explores what the armed forces aim to achieve with AI, including the pursuit of multi-domain operations and the shift from information overload to information superiority.

At the same time, the technologies that strengthen cyber defence also enhance offensive cyber capabilities. Against the backdrop of three decades of cyber arms competition, the presentation examines who truly benefits from AI and the balancing act facing modern defence organisations: between strategic data transformation and rapid innovation, between responsible testing and evaluation and a willingness to take risks, and between leveraging industry partnerships and building sovereign in-house expertise.
