Morten Lindstrøm is B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering and has spend his working career with membrane filtration Some years in Arlafoods Ingredients, but most is several companies supplying equipment for the food industry. In 2019 he joined MMS as technical director, and May 2024 he became the top manager.

When establishing new process equipment, the food manufacturer expects the delivery to comply with defined requirements related to process capacity and capability, hygienic design, requirements related to Machine directive 2006/42 including safety, risk analysis and hygiene guidelines, ant the rules in Regulation 1935/2004 related to materials in contact with foods. The food safety standards also have specific requirements related to commissioning of equipment.
The presentation gives an overview of the activities performed by the machine supplier to comply with these requirements including the needed documentation. Moreover some examples of most seen challenges.
