Challenges and Solutions in the Supply of Drinking Water
An in-depth look at challenges in ensuring safe and sustainable supplies of drinking, and the innovative solutions being developed to meet these needs
Water is an essential resource in all food production. Some producers receive water from the municipality – others have own well and treatment systems. Denmark has a very strict legislation on drinking water – in principle not allowing other treatments than the classical filtering and oxidation. Over the last decades, the contamination of the water resources with pesticides, PFAS and other chemicals have made this approach very difficult. The presentation will mention different solutions for the challenges, and the experience with the authority approach.
